Hello to the Boys of Boys Weekend-
I attended Tim's service with Shane on Sunday afternoon and I was very touched by the
number of people who came to celebrate this man's life.
Although I didn't have the opportunity to meet Tim during his life here, I feel like I've
gotten to know a wee bit about him through the memories, songs and stories that have been
shared over the last few weeks...He will be forever young in and be in the hearts of all
of you-
Although I've not met most of you, I wanted to take this moment to send my heartfelt and
deepest sympathy to each of the "brothers' and their families at this very difficult
time.May the lifelong love and relationship you've each had with this man help to bring
you comfort during the days ahead...Carpe Diem.
I've enclosed a song I heard this morning for the first time in many months and it made me
think of all of you.
The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows when
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there
For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another
It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother...

Wow! Great site! Hey! If you're a "77 alum,
send me your email address. I've got a list going from the reunion. I'd like to include as
many as possible. Boys Weekend looks lots of fun! (My husband is a big back-country
skiier, too.) Moe |
